The Mischief-Maker: Fiat Abarth 124 Spyder
The Fiat 124 Spyder is barely a fixture of the auto show circuit, and already Fiat’s tuning arm, Abarth, has taken a crack at making it sportier. In case you missed it, the 124 Spyder is a cousin of the Mazda MX-5 Miata, and the Abarth 124 Spyder deserves a spot on this list because it’s an even more driver-focused interpretation of the simple, classic roadster. Come for the increased power (170 hp) and enhanced driving dynamics (aided by Brembos at the corners and Bilstein dampers), and stay for what promises to be an exhaust note cacophony enhanced by a “Record Monza” quad-exhaust. The Abarth 124 Spyder pictured here takes the whole thing even further, adhering to racing-spec regulations and offering 300 hp.
