Audi R8
Never one to rest on its LED laurels, Audi’s next-gen R8 is impressive, to say the least. While there are four new editions, most intriguing is a bespoke R8 e-tron, an all-electric version that has greater capacity and range than the Tesla Model S. This is achieved thanks to a massive T-shaped lithium-ion battery fitted into the center tunnel behind the occupant cell — whose weight is offset thanks to an increased used of carbon fiber. With a 92-kWh capacity, the driving range should be around 280 miles while max horsepower stands at 456 and can reach 62 mph in 3.9 seconds. Using a DC fast-charger, Audi says the battery can be fully charged in under two hours.
