AG2R-La Mondiale: Focus Izalco Max
Instead of a one-tube-fits-all spec, the frame-tube diameters on the Izalco Max, from Germany-based Focus, are different for each size frame. This means every size offers the same weight-to-stiffness ratio, and that the bike for the team’s 6’6″ Paris-Roubaix–winner Johan Van Summeren will perform exactly like one for the 5’8″ Jean-Christophe Peraud. SRAM’s electronic, wireless shifting system is also hung on the AG2R bikes, but it’s not on the consumer market yet. [focus-bikes.com]
