Best Track Bike
San Francisco’s LOW Bicycles is trying its best to make aluminum relevant again, because when it comes to high performance, it gets the job done at a reasonable price. Because aluminum is light compared to other materials, LOW can use large, oversize tubing to make its bikes extremely stiff — without incurring a weight penalty. They also go the extra mile to make its frames as sexy as possible with smooth welds, shaped tubing, clean lines, and bold graphics. But don’t let these good looks fool you: “These bikes aren’t meant to be museum pieces,” says Andrew Low, “they are meant to be ridden hard and often.”
