Patagonia Cragsmith Pack
Don’t be that guy who shows up with a daypack and doesn’t have enough space to help haul gear. Climbing outside means hauling all the stuff that’s already conveniently dangling from the wall at the gym through a grueling approach to the crag. This Cragsmith, available in both 32L and 45L sizes, is lightweight, but offers additional padding throughout to protect your gear. One of its most useful, climber-friendly features is its wide, U-shaped zipper; you can unzip the entire main compartment to easily access all your gear. We stuffed it with a rope, 12 quickdraws, a harness, shoes, and a helmet—and there was still room to spare. It was comfortable to boot: The straps won’t dig into your shoulders or waist.
