1976-1986 Jeep CJ-7
Though the CJ-7 launched as emissions regulations were putting a damper on horsepower, this model brought modern comforts (air conditioning, hardtop roof) and significantly improved handling to the CJ line. Jeep’s workhorse straight-six engine still provided ample power and its status as one of the great Jeeps is seen today as many CJ-7s live on as modified mudders and rock crawlers. The Laredo package (pictured) added leather seats, chrome bumpers, and a tilt steering wheel.
