Italian helmet maker AGV introduced its new AGVisor to the American market, which is essentially a two-in-one face shield. Normally clear, and great for low-light use, the shield can switch to a dark tint for daylight use in under a second with just the push of a button. The AGVisor’s e-Tint technology uses a liquid-crystal system to change the tint when voltage is turned on with a large button on the left side of the shield. It can keep its tint for some 12 hours and only takes a couple hours to charge up, using a small cable and any USB port. If the battery runs out of juice, the shield just goes clear. The suggested price is $280, and the AGVisor works with the AGV’s Pista GP, Corsa and GT Veloce helmets.
