Matchless Model X
The Matchless nameplate dates back to the turn of the century — not the 21st century, the one before it — and the British brand’s Model X was built between the years of 1929 and 1940. The rebooted brand debuted this stunner at EICMA 2014, which features a bespoke fuel-injected 1,916cc V-twin engine, a robust 12-piston braking system, and enough styling details to keep your eyes wandering for hours. Matchless says they claimed 12 patents for this design which includes an easily adjustable saddle, footrests, and handlebars, but we’re guessing most well-heeled buyers will put a Model X in their garage because of form, not just function.
