Vuarnet’s luxury skiing sunglasses, called the Glacier, have been spotted everywhere from the face of James Bond to the slopes of Aspen and Courmayeur. And today, they got a little brother: a modern shape named Ice that’s made from newer materials.
In place of the stainless steel, acetate, and leather that makes up the Glacier, the Ice features a frame made from high resistance performance nylon. Its adjustable tips are rubber, and you can remove the protective side shields and nose inserts when you’re not on the slopes, effectively turning them into a highly advanced pair of aviator sunglasses.
The lenses are made from the same mineral glass you’ll find in the Glacier, which is polarized to reduce glare when you’re making your way down the mountain. (Or, you know, sitting in traffic at the end of a long day.)
The Ice frames range in price from $270 to $330. Take a look at all the different colorways below.
