4. There’s plenty of cushioning for explosive movements
The Nano 8 is, in a word, more dynamic. There’s more cushioning and flexibility in the midsole, which makes all the difference when you’re sprinting or blasting through jump squats. Rather than feeling like you’re walking on planks of wood, these feel responsive and ready for a range of WODs.
Fikowski, who placed second in the 2017 CrossFit Games, agreed that flexibility was the strong point. “I trained in it a couple times, and it still has that durability that I needed when I was squatting and weightlifting,” he says. “The softness—around the toe, around the bootie, right around the heel—was noticeably different” from previous iterations of the Nano.Back to top
