2. Michael B. Jordan
What He Did: Michael B. Jordan bulked up his body with muscle to play Adonis Creed in Creed, and the villain Erik Killmonger in Black Panther.
“I just had to dedicate everything I had to getting in shape and becoming Killmonger,” said Jordan during a press event. “I was doing weapon training, gun training, and a lot of mixed martial arts.” Growing up as a reader of the comics, he felt a special duty to do justice by Black Panther’s arch nemesis.
Why He Did It: Jordan got shredded for his roles in Creed, Creed II, and Black Panther.
His Workout: Between his Creed and Black Panther workouts, Jordan did a range of different training programs, including boxing, mixed martial arts, fundamental movements, weight training, and cardio. Here’s the regimen he used for Creed:
Cardio: For 45 to 60 minutes daily: Interval training, sprint work, plyometric drills, and speed rope.
Abs: Every other day, do 3 sets of 25 reps of each move: Crunches, Leg Raises, Reverse Crunches, Toe Touches, Traditional Sit-Ups
