“People are always worried about having a bad kick, but I tell them that 80 percent of the new triathletes men have terrible kicks. Rather than focusing on having this thunderous downbeat, think about keeping your legs a little straighter and then lift up with your hamstring and glute with straighter legs. In other words, think about the upbeat of the kick, and how it helps to stabilize your head, and your shoulders.
