2. Keep your shoulders down
DuBose stretched my neck, back, hips, hamstrings, and calves. Every minute or so, she had to remind me to relax my shoulders. Perhaps it’s unsurprising, then, that my shoulders were one of the tightest parts of my body.
To increase my mobility, she had me sit on the ground with my legs straight ahead and lean forward. When I was as far as I could go, I tried to move my arms in the biggest circles possible, as if I were swimming butterfly. DuBose recommends this stretch to everyone, especially desk workers, because it helps reverse the effects of constantly being hunched over.Back to top
