Race Across America
Touted as the “World’s Toughest Bicycle Race,” serious cyclists cover more than 3,000 miles as they ride from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland. The course requires competitors to climb through three mountain ranges, cross 12 states, and pass through the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts. It’s certainly not the easiest way to see the country, but as a race open to amateurs and professionals alike, it’s one that could give you serious bragging rights.
