Trap Bar Deadlifts
Conventional trap bar deadlifts are great for targeting the quads and making them work. The difference between a trap bar deadlift and a conventional deadlift is the geometrical shift required when using the trap bar. Since there’s no barbell blocking your shins, it gives them the opportunity to migrate forward, causing the hips to drop and the torso to be angled taller. That means more work for the quads. If you want to take things a step further, feel free to add a deficit by standing on a plate or platform, while allowing the weights to return all the way to the ground.
