Terry Crews wears many hats. The former NFL-er has been a Ram, a Charger, a Redskin, and an Eagle. He’s played a heavy-weapons specialist in the blockbusters Expendables 2 and Expendables 3, and a convict in The Longest Yard. On primetime TV, Crews has played a father (Everybody Hates Chris)—that’s in addition to being a real-life husband, father, and grandfather—a detective sergeant (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and most recently, he’s hosted the popular franchise Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Let’s not forget Crews’ very important role as manly brand ambassador for Old Spice.
What you might not know about Crews is that he’s authored a tender-hearted memoir entitled Manhood, and before the A-lister received a full-ride athletic scholarship for football at Western Michigan University, he received a Chrysler-sponsored art scholarship to the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Crews had dreams of becoming a sci-fi graphic artist as a child and has since produced a slew of paintings, some selling for up to $5,000.
