Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson isn’t joking about being in shape for the new Baywatch film.
Johnson posted a new photo on Instagram showing off a scene from the movie in which his character saves someone in distress—and his legs are the true stars. Seriously: His legs look like massive Christmas hams that are ready for dinner:
We're the #AvengersOfTheBeach and never skip leg day. No cool capes or dope super powers. Just protecting the people with our two hands the good ol' fashion way.. then we go back to being slightly dysfunctional🙃. #ThisIsAlsoHowIThrowMyLadyDownOnOurBed #ThatsMyBabyMakinFace #ImDefGonnaGetTheTalkNowWhenIGetHome 😂 #BAYWATCH MAY 19, 2017
Johnson has been calling his crew on Baywatch the “Avengers of the beach” and in this post he shows why.“We’re the #AvengersOfTheBeach and never skip leg day. No cool capes or dope super powers. Just protecting the people with our two hands the good ol’ fashion way.”
Johnson and co-star Zac Efron have been sharing quite a bit on social media while shooting the remake of the classic television series. Whether it’s doing pullup contests, working out with tires, running on the beach, or falling while running on the beach—the crew seems to be having a great time while making the movie.
Johnson has gushed about how excited he is for the film—which is expected to combined R-rated comedy and action—writing that he promises “to deliver a movie that’s big, fun, sexy, action packed and raunchy as f*ck.”
When making a movie based off of the biggest TV show in the world, you wind up saving lives from all over the globe Reppin' Mexico: Belinda @belindapop. Reppin' Brazil: Izabel Goulart @iza_goulart. Reppin' the good ol' USA Charlotte McKinney @charlottemckinney. Now in real life these ladies never need saving. They're bad ass, keep their game strong and super cool to work with. Buuuuuuuut in our movie, their "characters" need saving and… well… there's only one man for the job… not Batman, definitely not Superman, not those Avengers But the one and only big, brown, bald, tattooed guy who drives a jet ski on the ocean and a pick up truck on the land. Tough job my friends, but hell, somebody's gotta do it. #OnSet #GlobalSaves #BAYWATCH MAY 19, 2017 (ok, maybe my boy Chris Pratt @prattprattpratt has the ability to save these lives, but that's it. No one else. F*ck those other guys🖕🏾😂)
Baywatch, directed by Seth Gordon, hits the beach on May 19, 2017.
