Reviews are starting to trickle in for Mark Wahlberg’s latest film, Lone Survivor. Based on the true story of Operation Redwing, a U.S. military operation in Afghanistan’s Kunar province, Wahlberg plays Marcus Luttrel, a real-life survivor of the operation, and delivers a “strong and moving performance,” according to Boston.com.
The film is directed by Peter Berg, of Battleship and Friday Night Lights fame. The story is in good hands.
The movie is based on Luttrell’s bestselling eyewitness account, Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10. The movie opens January 10 everywhere. Check out the trailer below.
