Fit Fix: the Force Is Awake, and There’s No Hitting Snooze on This One

Morning, dudes. Here’s the latest interesting stuff from around the Internet on this fine Tuesday, October 20:

The Force Is Pretty Much Awake: In case you live on the far side of Endor (or just didn’t watch Monday Night Football), the final trailer for Star Wars: the Force Awakens debuted during halftime of the Giants-Eagles game on Monday night, shortly before demand for presale tickets literally broke the Internet (for ticket retailers, at least).

And in case that doesn’t get you stoked, here are some Instagram videos of stars John Boyega and Daisy Ridley watching the trailer for the first time:

Speaking of Football: Despite some scattershot passes from Sam Bradford and a staggering four turnovers, the Eagles defense managed to smother the Giants and claim a 27-7 victory in Philadelphia. (Maybe it was a bad idea for Giants punter to share a pic of this Big Blue jersey on the Rocky statue in Philly.) [ESPN]

Ballon d’Or Shortlist Announced: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Neymar highlight the 23-player shortlist for FIFA’s Ballon d’Or, its annual award bestowed upon the best footballer (okay, soccer player) in the world. [FIFA]

Own the Drones: The Federal Aviation Administration says it’s going to require people who own recreational drones (and who doesn’t these days) to register the flying machines—and they’re trying to implement the program before the holiday season, Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx said. [NBC News]

“Like I Was in a Strip Club”: Five former basketball players and recruits at the University of Louisville went to parties at a campus dorm that featured strippers paid for by the team’s former graduate assistant coach, the players and recruits told ESPN’s Outside the Lines. [OTL]

Johnny Football Under Investigation: Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was in a “domestic dispute” with his girlfriend while driving on a highway, with his girlfriend telling police Manziel “hit me a couple times” and “I’m in fear for my life,” according to released police dash-cam footage. The NFL plans to investigate, Browns head coach Mike Pettine said. [Associated Press]

This Is How It’s Done: Remember that hilariously awful “trick play” the Colts dialed up (unsuccessfully) against the Patriots this weekend? Turns out the University of Maine football team had tried once before, and they pulled it off beautifully—so naturally they trolled the Colts with some game footage.
