#HoopsNotCrime: Last week, a police officer in Gainesville, Florida, was dispatched to a neighborhood where people complained of kids playing basketball too loudly. Instead of sending the kids home, Officer Bobby White joined in the game, capturing the pickup ball on camera on his dashcam, and promised the the kids that he’d return with backup on Saturday. White made good: He brought Shaquille O’Neal (and an alarmingly heavy police presence, but whatever) to the next game, where the former Heat big man did his thing. “These kids will never forget the day Shaq rolled up to their house to play ball,” the police department said.
