Make 30 Minutes to Workout
“The biggest excuse I hear is that same old thing: ‘I don’t have time, I have a meeting, something came up,” says Walsh. “But you have time. You just have to choose what you have time for.” Allotting even 30 minutes a day for your workout is better than nothing. In fact, Walsh’s Rise Nation climbing fitness classes in L.A. (NYC location coming within the year) run just a half hour. If you are a parent, he suggests you and your partner taking turns watching the kids for an hour apiece while the other gets their workout in. Your workout doesn’t need to be difficult, or trendy either, for that matter. Sticking to the oldies, but the goodies, is what will get you consistent results. Incorporate planks, squats, lunges, crunches, jumping jacks, pushups, pull-ups, and jump rope consistently into your workouts and you won’t have to worry about a belly.
