The deadlift is the quintessential "pick up heavy stuff" move. It recruits pretty much every muscle in your body, which is why, once you get the hang of it, you'll find you're able to lift the most weight of any major movement we've gone over in this series. It only feels appropriate to wrap up the Getting Fit From Scratch series with a big, powerful move that'll take everything you can throw at it.
