In a survey of almost 2,000 Brits, 52% said they’ve never left the office to take a lunch break, and 32% complained that high workloads often kept them from stepping out for a bite.
Yet a whopping 91% said they felt happier after spending time outside.
Those kind of stats aren’t just disheartening, they’re downright dangerous, according to Diabetes U.K. and the British Heart Foundation, who posit that work-related stress could up your risk of life-threatening diseases like diabetes and heart disease.
So step outside whenever you can: Your health—and productivity—will benefit.
