These days you can buy supplements almost anywhere — Walgreen’s, Costco, or on any number of websites. While big-box stores and websites may offer cheaper prices, the best place to shop for supplements is still your local health food store, co-op, or integrative pharmacy. This is especially the case if you’re inexperienced with supplements or you want to try something new but don’t know which brand, type, or dosage to get. These health-focused stores tend to have a much wider selection and carry better-quality brands than drugstores and other mainstream retailers. More importantly, they’re usually well-staffed with employees who are super knowledgeable about supplements and about healthy living in general. And they rarely work on commission, so they’re not pushy. They are way more interested in spending time helping you find the right product so that you’ll keep coming back than they are in making a quick sale.
