Stretch in your chair.
Here’s a simple stretch you don’t even need to get up for: Put one ankle over the opposite knee and rotate it 10 times one way and 10 times another, then switch legs. “Putting your ankle over your knee will help to stretch your hips and help keep the blood circulating by rotating your ankles,” says Yee. He also recommends doing a chair version of Cat-Cow. In your chair, sit on the forward edge with your hands on your knees in a neutral spine position. Inhale deeply and as you exhale, round your spine. On the next inhale, arch your back and lift your head. “This will help stretch your back and neck,” says Yee, “and reenergize you for the rest of your workday.”Back to top
