What is it?
A micro-honing grooved silicon pad that realigns cartridge blades. It turns out that blades tend to warp and bend on a microscopic but still meaningful level, leading to missed hairs, tugging, and even nicks. The BladeBuddy corrects that. Before each shave, simply slap some shaving product onto the grooved surface, and lightly push the razor forward about 15 to 20 times using light pressure.
Does it save?
Yes. We’ve been shaving our full face with a Mach 3 every other day for five weeks, and our blade is still as sharp as it was on day one.
It’s both the lowest-priced option we found and the most planet-friendly. The pad can be removed from the plastic storage shell, making it portable. [$20; getbladebuddy.com]
