Get Botox Shots
Botox doesn’t only freeze the fine lines on your face in place. The botulism toxin that is the main ingredient in Botox also paralyzes the sweat glands under your arms, blocking the nerve impulses sent from the skin to the sweat glands. That shuts off the waterworks, says Jaliman. “Botox shots are given in a series of injections under the arm, and they generally last about seven months. Most people who get them won’t perspire until they wear off,” she says. It might sound extreme, but the procedure has been FDA-approved for underarm sweat since 2004, and it only takes a quick session at a dermatologist’s office to stop the floodgates.
