Hugh Jackman isn’t holding anything back in his final appearance as Wolverine in the upcoming film Logan.
The Australian actor went all out and bulked up to a massive level in the gym while preparing for the movie and a new photo from director James Mangold proves it.
Hot off the release of the first trailer of the film—which shows Jackman in his musclebound glory as he takes down bad guys sent by bionic-armed villain Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook) and kicks major ass while protecting mentor Professor X (Patrick Stewart)—the new picture reveals that at 48-years-old, Jackman can still cut a rock-hard six pack with muscular chest and mammoth arm muscles:

Jackman has been playing Wolverine for over a decade in films like X-Men, The Wolverine, and X-Men Days of Future Past, so he knows exactly what to do to get in “superhero” shape. Jackman shared his extensive Wolverine workout plan with Men’s Fitness, in which he used the bench press, squats, deadlifts, and weighted pullups along with supersets and circuit workouts to transform into the powerful character.
While filming the new Logan film over the past year, Jackman has been posting some of his workouts to Instagram, including sets of clap pushups—he did 100 of them and we gave you tips on how to improve yours—bicep workouts with massive dumbbells, cable exercises, and sled pushes:
Logan, also starring Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, and Eriq La Salle, will be released on March 3, 2017.
