Hugh Jackman will bring Wolverine’s claws out one last time.
After more than a decade playing the fan-favorite superhero, the ultra-jacked actor is making his (most likely) final appearance as the character in the upcoming Logan, the latest of Wolverine’s standalone movies in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise. Jackman was perfectly cast as the cigar-chomping Canadian mutant for the original X-Men film, and he’s stayed with the franchise ever since.
Whether he’s saving his fellow X-Men from bad guys at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters in X2, battling Vinnie Jones’s jacked Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand, or making scene-stealing cameo appearances in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Age of Apocalypse, Jackman has been a stalwart part of the hero lineup.
As he prepares for his last run as the character, here’s a look at what we know about Logan and why it will be super-badass.
Logan, directed by James Mangold and starring Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, and Stephen Merchant, will be released on March 3, 2017.
