CrossFit legend Rich Froning is already known to CrossFit Games followers for claiming four straight titles, but the documentary Froning: The Fittest Man In History is pushing his name further. The movie provides a visual aspect for his autobiography, First: What it Takes to Win, and shows a more human side of the 28–year–old than press releases and sports stories.
The documentary seeks to prove Froning actually is the fittest man ever, as photos and home video of his childhood is spliced together with family testimony of his competitive nature and success in the CrossFit Games — a career that started in 2009 and has earned him 16 event wins, 35 top–five event finishes, and 45 top–10 event finishes. It also shows a more human side of Froning: The dad who takes extra care to change his adopted daughter's diaper by himself.
Froning: The Fittest Man In History was produced by affiliates of CrossFit and directed by CrossFit HQ's Heber Cannon. Starting on Oct. 2, The Fittest Man In History can be purchased on iTunes.
