J.R. Ramirez’s Approach to Fitness Is No Front

If you’re a fan of the hit Starz series Power, you’re well aware of J.R. Ramirez’s character, Julio.

Even as Julio became one of the show’s main characters in Season 2, he did so somewhat quietly and with a lot of mystery shrouding who he truly was, aside from working for Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora). Now that Season 4 is in full swing, though, things are starting to get interesting with Julio.

We sat down with Ramirez to chat about his experiences on the show, how he stays in physically fit (and got his six-pack abs), plus who introduced him to CrossFit’s “Nasty Girl” workout named “Cindy.” (FYI: That’s as many rounds as possible of 5 pullups, 10 pushups, and 15 squats for 20 minutes, according to CrossFit HQ’s website.)

Don’t forget to catch Power on Sunday’s at 9 p.m. ET on Starz—and give Ramirez a follow on Instagram @jr8ramirez.
