People Who Listen to Music When They Exercise Have Better Workouts
Need some workout motivation? Then you might want to build a powerful playlist. People who listen to music not only enjoy more exercising but also boost their performance, according to a recent study. So tune in to your favorite summer song and get ready for your next workout session.
Out for a run without your earbuds? Go back and grab them.
People who listen to their own playlist not only push themselves harder and experience a mood boost but also have fonder memories of their workout session, which could help motivate them to get out the door next time, suggests research from Springfield College in Massachusetts.
“This is the first study to show a ‘remembered pleasure’ from exercising to music,” says study author Jasmin Hutchinson.
