You’re Always Injured
Chronic pain isn’t normal, and you shouldn’t accept continuous injuries as a byproduct of your workout routine. If you’re always hurt, you’re almost definitely doing something wrong. Maybe you’re overlooking the importance of flexibility or core training. Maybe you’re performing exercises with poor form. Maybe you’re lifting too heavy, doing too much, or not prioritizing recovery. There are a lot of ways to go wrong, and these ways seem to multiply as you get older. Your body stops bouncing back the way it used to. Trainers, through proper program design and instruction, can nip bad habits in the bud, while simultaneously helping you identify ways to shore up weaknesses that contribute to pain.
