Sometimes referred too as golden root, rhodiola is a plant that grows in cold regions of the world and is known to help balance hormones during times of stress, which, as mentioned, is necessary for peak sexual health and desire. Also, rhodiola reduces the amount of the hormone norepinephrine to be released, which in turn helps dilate blood vessels, directly resulting in more blood being pumped throughout the body with no extra strain on the heart. Improved circulation enhances and intensifies the sensation of touch, which consequently improves sexual pleasure. Commonly sold as a dried powder in North America, rhodiola is quite bitter, but can be easily disguised when mixed into a fruit smoothie.
