Indoor triathlons — run, bike, swim races that happen within the confines of the gym — are insanely fun. When’s the last time you jumped out of the pool to immediately hop on a nearby spin bike to keep the workout going? These events quickly cycle you from one discipline to the next (most are sprint distances that require little more than an hour), so they naturally break up the monotony and solitude that come with winter training indoors. Better still, they’ll add a little competitive oomph to your usual routine. Check out this list of upcoming opportunities around the country. Whether you’re jumping in cold or training to win, it’s a guaranteed good time and workout.
