When You’re Done, Stretch
You may be so exhausted you just want to flop down on the couch, but seriously, you need to stretch. Set aside at least five minutes, and focus on your calves, your quads, and, most important, your hips. Fail to flex those hips, and you could feel it in your knees and back down the road. You don’t need any weird equipment for this; just your own body and your ability to pull and twist one part against another. But if you’re willing to cough up a couple bucks, a foam roller can do you an awful lot of good.
