Pros: Can be scaled to single-unders; done over the course of 30 days
Cons: Going to light up your calves
Recommended for: Marathon newbies
For the month of September, RPM Training is running the 10K Challenge, which asks participants to complete 10,000 double-unders in 30 days (about 334 jumps a day). While not technically a marathon, the event is great for anyone looking to make a daily commitment to their fitness, and it’s highly scalable. If you aren’t (yet) able to do a double-under, do single-unders instead and feel free to break up the 334 reps as much as you need—or do them all unbroken.
