“I started surfing when I was ten and I was just hooked,” says Durban. “I don’t even think of it as a workout because I have the best time when I’m in the water. But you’re getting great conditioning. It works your shoulders and core. It’s the best way to get to know the ocean, and obviously great for balance.
The beauty of surfing is that merely catching waves is a workout. Ride waves for 30 minutes without thinking about reps or repeats. Then resume your workout.
