The mysteries of sexual arousal just got a little clearer. In a groundbreaking study, Imperial College London researchers found the hormone kisspeptin can alter neural connections to enhance libido.

Twenty-nine men were given kisspeptin one day, a placebo another. Then they entered an MRI machine and were shown provocative images. The men had increased activity in key brain pathways linked with sexual function and arousal on kisspeptin, meaning the hormone may soon be a treatment for low libido.
