Studies from ‘Consumer Reports’ and the FDA found dangerous levels of this toxin in rice (particularly brown rice) and chicken. Here’s how to avoid it:
- Eat no more than a half cup of rice per week, cooking with a 6:1 water-to-rice ratio.
- Buy organic chicken, since some factory farms give animals feed that contains arsenic.
- Avoid rice grown in Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, and China.
