It might be the start of winter, but if you’re going to take on a Tough Mudder race, you might as well start thinking spring — the 2018 Tough Mudder season begins in March. “You need to cover 10 to 12 miles in a Tough Mudder while having great balance, being able to think quick on your feet, and being able to power yourself through the obstacles on the course,” says Kirk DeWindt, an elite obstacle course racer and personal trainer in Minneapolis.
