Get ready to be terrified at the movies again.
The latest trailer for Alien: Covenant has hit the web and the follow-up to 2012’s Prometheus is starting to look like the ultimate Alien movie—the one people have been waiting for since James Cameron’s 1986 sci-fi classic Aliens.
Just as in that film, there’s a haunting soundtrack, a ragtag crew of space cowboys, plenty of claustrophobic interiors—WHY DO THEY ALWAYS GO INTO A CAVE— and (of course) terrifying xenomorphs.
The trailer reveals more of the story too: A group of colonists sets out toward a (presumably) uncharted planet, led by scientist Daniels (Katherine Waterston) and pilot Tennessee (Danny McBride). And when they arrive, they note there’s no animals to be seen. But what they find after some exploration is more terrifying than anyone (well, except the audience) could have imagined:
The studio also released a new poster for the film along with the trailer:

The cast of this movie is absolutely stacked, with James Franco starring as the captain of the Covenant, as well as Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Jussie Smollett, and Amy Seimetz. Michael Fassbender returns to play two different androids after starring in Prometheus as David, an android with a secret agenda.
Alien: Covenant, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Fassbender, Waterston, Crudup, McBride, and Franco, opens on May 19, 2017.
