More than 110 million viewers are expected to watch Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos this Sunday. Whether you tune in to the Super Bowl for the big game, Bruno Mars’ halftime show, or the overpriced commercials, one thing you won’t be seeing is Scarlett Johansson uncensored. In her new 30-second spot for SodaStream, the sexy ScarJo takes a break from “saving the world” to show how easy it is to carbonate a beverage. Then, in the hopes of making her commercial “go viral,” Scarlett disrobes and sucks on a straw.
Apparently the ad is too hot for TV, because SodaStream says FOX rejected it—but not because of any perceived innuendos. Instead, SodaStream CEO Daniel Birnbaum told USA Today it was because Scarlett takes a jab at Coke and Pepsi at the end of the spot (Coke is a perennial presence on Super Bowl Sunday advertising, while Pepsi is sponsoring the halftime show). Of course, as of press time, more than 1.5 million viewers have already viewed the the ad to see what all the hullabaloo’s about. Looks like Scarlett has succeeded in going viral, after all.
