Weekend One-Up: the 140-Repetition Full-Body Challenge

Are you a workout warrior looking for a challenge? You’ve come to the right place. It’s time to test your abilities—and your mettle!

Each week our fitness expert, CrossFit competitor, and owner of New York City’s Reebok CrossFit 5th Ave, Nate Forster, lays out a quick workout that measures your level of strength, speed, power, endurance, and/or skill. Think you can “one-up” our guy? Get ready to throw down, and let’s see what you’ve got…

Complete 50 air squats, 40 pushups, 30 lunges, and 20 pullups as quickly as possible (140 total reps).

The 140-repetition challenge involves four basic moves that when combined provide a total-body workout. Performing each of these exercises as quickly as possible will improve muscular and cardiovascular endurance. Any athlete looking to increase his stamina and endurance will benefit from the well-roundedness of this routine.
