Kevin Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are ready to welcome you to the jungle.
As they’re filming the new Jumanji sequel on location in Hawaii, Hart and Johnson—the Men’s Fitness October 2016 cover star and the highest-paid actor in the world—have been getting to know their jungle surroundings as production gets underway. Hart already released the first picture of the full cast together with Johnson, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black in costume. (Hart, as we’ve learned, is donning his floppy hat and Boy Scout-style safari costume to play character Moose Finbar.)
His latest update? Black’s lunch break:
Johnson, on the other hand, is very much in character as a bigger, balder Bear Grylls, revealing that things are getting “as real as it gets” on the set and that he’s been forced to catch fish “with his bare hands” to survive in the jungle. It’s also our first video of him in his costume as the magnificently monikered “Dr. Smolder Bravestone”—and he looks the part, bulging out of his Indiana Jones-esque outfit on the set:
My character's one of the greatest explorers in the world and I'm deep in the jungles of #Jumanji and discovering new land.. never mind Hiram ruined the damn shot. #OnLocation #Hawaii #Welcome2Jumanji

But even though Hart’s been stuck in the jungle, getting “his ass whooped” by bugs, he keeps finding ways to stay shredded. He posted a video addressed to “King” LeBron James while getting shredded on a climber that also apparently whooped his ass. (Bugs and Stair Climbers 2, Kevin Hart 0).
Hart’s been all over the place lately. His KEVMOJI app has already earned legions of fans and his rap alter-ego, Chocolate Droppa, released a new single titled “Baller Alert.” The song’s part of the soundtrack to Hart’s new stand-up movie special, Kevin Hart: What Now?, which premieres in theaters on October 14. And that’s not all Hart has coming: His Comedy Central TV show, Kevin Hart Presents: Hart of the City, will follow the funnyman as he travels to different stand-up scenes around the country. It premieres at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 2.
Hart and Johnson are both on major rolls lately when it comes to dominating the entertainment world and ‘Jumanji’ should only solidify the duo as one of the best on-screen teams in Hollywood. We’ve told you all the reasons why Jumanji will be badass—and now that the film has started production, a trailer can’t be too far behind.
