There’s More Than One Way To Get There
Burchett actually got the idea for his book when he was a contestant on The Bachelor. “All of the guys were super fit,” he says, but he adds that each of them had a slightly different diet and workout approach. One was paleo, another ate a higher volume of carbs but did endurance sports. A third contestant pounded protein shakes and hit the weights. “You have to do what works for you,” he says, adding that whatever you choose needs to fit into your lifestyle and feel at least somewhat satisfying. “If you love bread, then you probably shouldn’t do low-carb."
According to Burchett, when you look at long-term weight loss data, there’s no real difference between those who lost weight with one diet versus another. The one similarity that successful dieters do have, however, is that “they exercise an hour a day, five times a week.” If you want to stay slim long-term, the golden ticket seems to be finding an exercise routine that you like enough to stick with.Back to top
