Meant to be well-intentioned advice on the finiteness of time, the centuries-old adage “Time is Money” is frequently quoted as one of the most important keys to success. This is understandable, as the idea that hard work leads to financial growth and long-term security is not only especially appealing but also deeply ingrained in society. American entrepreneur Greg Todd, however, believes that such an understanding of the time-money relationship needs to be completely redefined.

Better known as the mind behind Smart Success Healthcare (SSHC), Greg is a renowned physical therapy entrepreneur, public speaker, business coach, podcast host, husband and father of four. Having started his professional journey as a concierge PT for tennis enthusiasts, Greg’s meteoric rise began when he figured out that if he was to really live life at its fullest, he needed to regain control of what he had been just seeing as a tool time.

“I didn’t want to be an entrepreneur growing up but became one out of necessity,” says Greg, who has now founded several multi-million dollar businesses that include Smart Success Healthcare (a business coaching/consulting firm), Smart Virtual Staff (a staffing company), SSHC Campaign Software, Inc. (a CRM enabling marketing campaigns and website hosting), Indian Shores Getaway, LLC (specializing in real estate rentals), SSHC Holdings, LLC (a real estate management company), and Renewal Rehabilitation (comprising three clinics). “Choosing entrepreneurship was the result of enduring massive pain and frustration pursuing my life through traditional approaches, which eventually led to the realization that time should be my number one priority.”

Greg’s entrepreneurial journey resembles that of many of the patients he worked with as a physical therapist. Finding out that things were not quite working as they should despite his hard work and best efforts, he took the decision to go through a transformational process, much like a patient undergoing rehabilitative therapy. This transformation required him to borrow over $100K against his home, learn the ins and outs of running a business, significantly change his mindset, and learn to leverage many of the skills he had taken for granted.

Today, Greg is focused on helping those in the healthcare industry achieve their dream by helping them create their own businesses while also teaching them all of the lessons that he learned firsthand in areas like marketing, sales, and effective communication. With the “stop trading time for money” principle at the heart of the operation, Greg’s coaching is all about helping these entrepreneurs truly value their time.

“I just can’t stand the idea of thinking of our time as a means to gain money,” adds Greg. “To me, money should be thought of as a means to buy time back. Anyone who does this will start seeing money for what it truly is, start enjoying their life much more, and make much better decisions in the long term.”

Having already helped countless healthcare professionals, Greg has redoubled his efforts to “pay it forward” by expanding his presence to social media channels like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. By doing so, Greg is seeking to inspire a new generation of “Healthpreneurs” to regain control of their life and become a better version of themselves who can thrive by breaking free from the money-time chain.
