Tyler Lydon, Syracuse
The 6’9″ sophomore forward has added nearly 20 pounds to his frame since helping lead the Orange to the Final Four in 2016, giving him more power as he develops into the centerpiece of the Syracuse offense. The versatile freshman used his combination of size and athleticism last season to play power forward, small forward, guard, and center, and with his added size, he’ll be able to shut down opposing offenses—just like he did against Gonzaga in the NCAA Tournament, swatting away a shot to preserve a one-point lead with just 1.6 seconds left in the game. Lyndon averaged 10.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last year and this season the sophomore made the preseason watchlist for the Naismith Player of the Year award.
