4. Richard Sherman, NFL
The outspoken cornerback will get in anyone’s face at any time on the football field for some trash talk (except maybe Larry Fitzgerald, but still). Sherman first broke onto the smack scene in 2012 when he got up in Tom Brady’s face after a win over the New England Patriots, taunting the quarterback with some choice words and later with a “U Mad Bro?” comment on Twitter. Sherman later talked to trash to the Patriots again in Super Bowl XLIX, but his real star moment came after after winning the NFC title game in 2014 in an interview with Fox reporter Erin Andrews.
Sherman ranted at the camera after making a game-sealing play on 49ers wideout Michael Crabtree: “Well, I’m the best corner in the game! When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you gonna get! Don’t you ever talk about me! Don’t you open your mouth about the best, or y’know I’m gonna shut it for you real quick!” Even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson admitted that Sherman might be the best trash talker in sports—and he would know: he was one of the best in the business during his pro wrestling days.
