8. Matt Ryan
The Atlanta Falcons quarterback has been one of the most consistent throwers in the NFL since being drafted back in 2008, missing just two career games heading into 2017, and throwing for at least 4,000 yards in six straight seasons. Ryan told Men’s Fitness that maintaining his flexibility is of paramount importance, and that he puts a big focus on training his core, hips, and the muscles in his shoulders.
Ryan puts in his work off the field, including when Navy SEALs came to work out with the Falcons, putting the quarterback through grueling tire flips, log carries, and long sessions of pushups. Ryan puts a major focus on mental training as well, working on his peripheral vision and hand-eye coordination.
